The North American-based players left for Cyprus on the evening of 16th February, and flew through the night. I was fortunate to meet up and fly with Marie-Eve which was fun as it was her birthday. Most unfortunately, I forgot her gift at home. I left it on the kitchen table- sorry friend!

 

 

We were both pleased to run into Jennifer Heil at the airport, another nice surprise. She is always such an inspirational person to speak to.

 
The flight through the night went smoothly, but I wish I could have slept a little more. We arrived in London very early in the morning and spent some "quality" time in the Air Canada arrivals lounge. What a good idea this place is. We managed to have a shower and a little cat nap before changing terminals for our Cyprus flight. We have a 7 hour lay over.

 

No one on our 2:30pm Cyprus flight was looking very awake, which is not surprising as most people hadn't slept a wink. As soon as we boarded, most of the ladies in red fell immediately asleep. I was among them. I managed to slumber for an hour and a half before waking up, only to realize that the aircraft had yet to push away from the gate. So sad! Apparently there was a hydraulics problem, but they eventually seemed to patch everything together with some duct tape (joke!), before sending us on our way. I might have been more worried about all this if I had not been so tired.

 

We arrived at our hotel just before midnight, had a quick bite to eat and then headed straight to bed. We are allexhausted, but happy to have finally arrived. It's back to work tomorrow!
