A WIN AT LAST: Strommen defeats Sandviken 4 - 0. 18th October 09
Team Strommen let out an audible sigh of relief. After the misery of three straight defeats it was good to have a win a last. With Sandviken next to last in the table, we were expected to defeat them, and we did.

The first half was a bit tricky and we did not play at our best in this match. We had possession of the ball for most of the half, and we created chances, but once
again, the ball just would not go into the back of the net. It was only 45 minutes into the match that Lene Storløkken put the ball behind the very solid Sandviken keeper.
It was a new, and good experience to go into the dressing room one goal up at the half.
We were determined to go out in the second period and rack up some more tallies. It only took nine minutes, and then Ingrid Wang Anderson popped up at the back post
to move us to a 2-0 goal lead after a pin-point precise cross from Diana Matheson on the left wing.
We continued to dominate the game and maneuver the ball around the Sandviken players, and we were rewarded in the 76th minute when Una scored her 11th goal
of the season.
As the game wore down, there was a historic substitution. In the 85th minute: Ingrid Wang Anderson went off to be replaced by Hilde Hansen
for her 150th cap playing for Team Strommen. It was a memorable occasion, and all the more so when Lene Storløkken earned a penalty, and Hilde took the kick
and placed it elegantly into the goal. It was her first touch of the ball all afternoon.
In the end, this was a well deserved win by Team Strommen and it was reassuring to score some good goals once more. It means the Club is back on the right track
as we head towards the Cup Finals on 7th November.
Now we have a free weekend because of international match commitments, but we are not resting on our laurels. There are some practice matches against boys' teams to
test us, and then we have our final League match against Fortuna Ålesund in two weeks.
