Rhian is nominated as the "Maurice" athlete of the year in a team sport. Samuel Giguere was the first-round draft pick, eighth overall, of the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the CFL.

The third nominee is the all-round baseball player Matthew Langton, a member of the Lasalle Cards team in the Quebec Junior Elite Baseball League.
